A Celebration of Festive Traditions

SINGAPORE, November 2018 – Christmas is always a special time at the Regent Singapore, A Four Seasons Hotel. This year, it continues to share the festive cheer with a host of dining experiences at the Hotel’s award-winning outlets.

Festive Feasts at Basilico

 

Raise a glass and toast to an all-Italian Buone Feste with produce picked at the height of their seasons. Throughout the month of December, lunches, dinners and brunches take on delicious festive twists.

Indulge in Parma Ham-wrapped Turkey Roulade filled with Foie Gras and Chestnuts, Jerusalem Artichoke Tortino and Raisin Sauce; and 12-hr Slow Cooked Traditional Pork Cotechino with Castelluccio Lentil Stew and Polenta Crouton; while enjoying traditional Italian Christmas breads such as Panettone and Pandoro with Christmas Mascarpone Cream.

On Christmas Day, look forward to brunch with a dedicated cheese room carrying over 50 Italian specialty cheeses; a live station of Pan-seared Foie Gras with Caramelised Amarena Cherries; and a carvery of Lavender-infused Mustard Marinated Wagyu Beef Sirloin with Truffled Potatoes and Chanterelles. Expect an impressive spread of ocean spray at dinner, where the seafood bar will carry Poached Lobsters, Spiny Lobsters, Mussels and Alaskan King Crabs. Watch the chefs in action as they carve from a Honey Glazed Bone-in Ham with Marsala Wine Sauce and Cranberries; and whip up Violet Potato Gnocchi with Pork Cheek Ragout. For memorable wine pairings, opt for our Prestige selection that includes free-flow pours of Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru 2006 by Duval-Leroy, a Basilico exclusive.

A kiddie's playroom complete with festive goodies, bouncy castle, game consoles, arts & crafts, is available for the little ones on December 25, 2018. They can expect some very special guests, including a magician and jolly ol’Santa himself!

A Royal-Tea Indulgence Afternoon Tea at Tea Lounge

 

In line with Orchard Road taking on Disney-themed decorations, Tea Lounge will offer a royal experience, with whimsical princess treats served against a larger than life castle. The Festive Weekday Afternoon Tea is served on a three-tier stand replete with an assortment of seasonal finger sandwiches and savoury highlights; alongside classic scones, butterfly-topped Blackcurrant Milk Chocolate Mousse in Shooters, Enchanted Granny Smith Apple Tarts and pastel pink ribbon-wrapped Traditional Christmas Fruit Cake.

On weekends, the buffet offerings expand to include an array of salads, smoked fish and sushi, a caviar station, a carvery and local delights. Complete the royal experience with a special custom blend tea for Disney by Tealeaves: Princess Breakfast. Smooth velvety sweetness of Madagascan vanilla bean and ripe strawberries accentuate this rooibos blend, which is also used in delicate macarons crafted by Chef Alex Chong and team, a Princess Breakfast Iced Tea, and Princess Love Cocktail, featuring prosecco and strawberry puree.

Over Christmas Day, the Hotel’s High Tea Buffet will feature a spread including Regent’s signature Laksa with Alaskan King Crab and Quail’s Egg; Roasted Limoncello Infused Turkey with Caramelised Black Figs; and Thyme-marinated Foie Gras Terrine with Caramelised Amarena Cherries and Roasted Pistachios among others.

Speciality highlights for New Year’s include Beetroot Marinated Queen Scallop Tartar with Chilled Saffron Angel Hair and Caviar; Smoked Wagyu Beef Roulade Wrapped with Truffle Mascarpone and Wild Rocket; and Kurobuta Organic Honey Glazed Gammon Ham with Marsala Wine Sauce.

New York Glamour on New Year’s Eve, Manhattan

 

Ring in a glamorous New Year at The World’s 3rd Best Bar. Also rated Asia’s Best Bar, Manhattan reprises its best cocktails from 2018 for a night of Golden Age glamour and merrymaking.

First, get into the holiday spirit at the adults-only Sunday Brunch with American classics like Caramelised Pecan Butterscotch Cake; White Christmas Peppermint Layer Cake; and Red Velvet Cheese Cake and Berries. Angus Beef Tenderloin is infused with Malt Beer, Bone Marrow Butter and baked to tenderness with Silky Pumpkin Puree.

On New Year’s Eve, bring on the fanciest looks of the 1900s and bask in New York glitz and glamour. Behind the marble bar, bartenders will be turning out a selection of Manhattan’s ‘Best of 2018’ cocktails to get the party going while taking the floor is Leandra Leandra and the live band, setting the mood for an evening to remember with their beautiful aural display of soulful jazz tunes. Enjoy pass-around canapes such as Knickerbocker Beer Tempura Oyster with Negroni Aioli and Squid Ink Sea Salt while posing your champagne glass for a toast at the stroke of midnight.

Celebrate an amazing year with Manhattan as they bring out their best drinks of 2018. Betty’s Negroni combines Botanist Gin, Port Charlotte Peated Whisky, Mancino Rosso, Campari and Salt; while the signature Manhattan is an elegant mix of Michter’s Rye, Mancino Rosso, House Cherry Liqueur and Angostura Bitters.
