Regent opened its first hotel in Oahu, Hawaii in 1970.  During the ‘70s, the brand operated a number of prominent hotels, but it gained truly international recognition in 1980 with the opening of The Regent Hong Kong.  The brand’s flagship property in Hong Kong earned global acclaim for its personal touch and unmatched standards of luxury and service and the finest traditions of Asian hospitality. Regent has been deemed one of the world’s most iconic luxury brands and a pioneer of the luxury concept in the global hotel industry. In recent years, the brand expanded from its exclusive focus on hotels to embrace travel and hospitality.
