Airport Information: CKS International Airport is located in Taoyuan County approximately 40 kilometers from downtown Taipei. Taipei Song Shan Domestic Airport, nucleus of Taiwan civil aviation, is located in the Song Shan District of Taipei. Climate: Taiwan has a subtropical climate. The weather is warm and humid. The mean temperature is above 25C (77F) between June and September and over 15C (59F) between November and March. There is occasional snowfall on higher mountains in winter. Although typhoons visit Taiwan during summer, they only have a short-term impact on the islands.
