Regent Beijing, Regent Berlin and Regent Palms Turks & Caicos Named Top Hotels by Condé Nast Traveler’s Prestigious Readers’ Choice AwardsTaipei, Taiwan –
Regent Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce Regent Berlin, Regent Beijing and Regent Palms Turks & Caicos have been voted into the top five hotels in their region in the 26th
annual prestigious Condé Nast Traveler
Readers’ Choice Awards 2013.
A record-breaking nearly 80,000 of the magazine’s readers submitted more than 1.3 million votes for the best hotels, restaurants, cruise lines, cities, islands and airlines in the world. Votes were cast for more than 16,000 properties around the world. The magazine noted that more than double the number of readers participated in this year’s survey over last year.
With an overall score of 92.3, Regent Berlin ranked No. 3 in the “Top 20 Hotels in Northern Europe.” Located on the Gendarmenmarkt square, one of Berlin’s most historic public spaces, the 195-room Regent Berlin offers personal service and luxurious furnishings, modern conference and meeting rooms as well as the Michelin-starred Fischers Fritz gourmet restaurant.
Regent Beijing came in at No. 10 on the “Top 40 Hotels in China” with an overall score of 93.1 and received top billing out of the listed Beijing hotels. Earlier this year, Regent Beijing joined a select group of “superstar” hotels when it became a member of Condé Nast Traveler’s
Platinum Circle – those hotels that have made the ultra-selective Gold list five years in a row. Out of all the hotels in Asia, Regent Beijing is one out of only twenty-five to make the Platinum designation. Regent Beijing recently expanded its culinary offerings with the opening of legendary American steakhouse Morton’s of Chicago and Hong Kong’s Michelin-starred Lei Garden Restaurant. Regent Seven Seas Cruises is also included in The Platinum Circle with a total score of 90.9 and is No. 2 under Midsize-Ship Lines and one of the Top 25 Cruise Lines.
The “Top 15 Resorts in the Atlantic” list positions Regent Palms Turks & Caicos as No. 4 with a ranking of 90.1. The Regent Palms is a 72-suite luxury resort situated on the world-famous Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.
