Taipei, Taiwan – January, 04, 2012 – Regent Hotels & Resorts, a name synonymous with exceptional guest service, is pleased to announce that both Regent Beijing and Regent Palms, Turks & Caicos have been ranked among the best hotels in the world by Condé Nast Traveler’s 2013 Gold List Awards.
Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List, a prestigious editors ranking of the world’s best hotels, resorts and cruises in the world, represents excellence in quality, service and guest experience around the world.
An overall ranking of 93.1 positioned Regent Beijing as one of the top three hotels in China, a country rich with landmark luxury properties. In addition, Regent Beijing joins a select group of hotels in Condé Nast Traveler’s Platinum Circle - Gold List “superstars” who have made the ultra-selective list five years in a row. Out of all the hotels in Asia, Regent Beijing was one out of only twenty-five to make the Platinum designation.
Scoring an 89.3, Regent Palms Turks & Caicos made itself known as a benchmark Caribbean island resort. The flattering review of the Regent Palms focused particularly on the “stunning” rooms at the resort that offer marble floors and dramatic views of Grace Bay beach.
“We are truly honored that Regent Beijing and Regent Palms Turks and Caicos have been included in such a prestigious selection of the world’s best hotels,” said Steven Pan, Chairman of Regent Hotels & Resorts. “These hotels’ continual recognition by some of the most influential publications today is a testament to Regent’s level of service and commitment to excellence.”
Regent Palms and Regent Beijing also shared recognition from Condé Nast Traveler in October 2012. Both hotels were listed in the magazine’s 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards, an honor voted on by a record 46,476 Condé Nast Traveler readers.
The Condé Nast Traveler Gold List recognition starts an exciting year for Regent Hotels & Resorts. In the Spring of 2013, the 92-room Regent Bali will open in Sanur, Indonesia, and will feature ten acres of tropical gardens and a sprawling beachfront.
In addition, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the Florida-based operator of luxury cruise ships, joined the Gold Lists’ Platinum Circle as one of the top ten cruise lines in the world. Scoring an impressive 90.9, Regent Seven Seas joins a exclusive group of only six other Cruise lines in the selective Platinum Circle.
