Regent Berlin meets Veuve Clicquot at the Summer Lounge Orange

2014 has a special taste: the Regent Berlin at the famous Gendarmenmarkt, opens the spring season with the launch of its ‘Summer Lounge Orange’. Step inside, relax and enjoy. This year, it is all about barbecue and lavender at the hotel’s stylish and secluded inner courtyard.
Revisit the classics – the Regent Berlin brings the sweet smell of Provence to the capital and gives everything a lavender touch. Sweet or savoury, lavender has the ability to transform numerous dishes into taste sensations. This unique and aromatic culinary herb can be found in several gourmet specialties like the signature three-course menu including ‘Grilled Irish Entrecôte with Lavender Focaccia’ followed by a ‘Burned Lavender-Crème’. The team at the Regent Bar has also been inspired by lavender and serves the finest cocktail creations including ‘Tonic de Provence’, ‘Lavender Sencha Sour’ and ‘Hugo with Lavender’. Our tea master, Roland Pröh, recommends the home-made and deliciously chilled lavender ice tea.
Every Friday (from May until September) from 5 to 9 pm, the kitchen crew of Fischers Fritz treats its guests to the ‘Regent Barbecue’ with grilled delights like Irish entrecôte, lamb chops, ”Bratwurst”, filet of gilthead, vegetables and a selection of salads with grilled herb baguette.You have the choice: "Barbecue à la carte" or "Barbecue all in"
The ‘Summer Lounge Orange’ framed with palm and orange trees and dotted with lavender bushes is the perfect setting to escape the city’s hustle and bustle. Light snacks and refreshing champagne cocktails invite you to kick back and enjoy the best part of the day. With the evenings getting warmer and longer, the new Veuve Clicquot Bar is the perfect after work location to chill out (if it gets too chilly, staff are on hand with soft, cosy blankets).
