Just 40 minutes in peak traffic from both Beijing Capital International Airport (26 kilometres) and from Beijing South train station - arrival point for the new super-fast bullet trains hurtling from Shanghai and Tianjin - the Regent Beijing is perfectly positioned in the midst of the business district and historic quarter. Less than a 2km walk or rickshaw ride from the Gu Guanxiangtai Ancient Observatory, the Marco Polo Bridge, the Blue Zoo Beijing and the National Art Museum of China, the Forbidden City is closer still at one kilometre while Tianenman Square is just 2km away. Other attractions include the Temple of Heaven (5km), the Summer Palace (15km) and the Great Wall of China (80km). The Museum of Natural History, the Dixia Cheng Underground City and the Science and Technology Museum are also well worth a visit. Transport can be arranged via the concierge desk in the main lobby.
